Dr. Andrea Cavalla, DC
Dr. Andrea Cavalla, DC (she/her) is a board-certified Doctor of Chiropractic. She owns and operates Cavalla Chiropractic with two health clinics in San Rafael, California. Prior to including Egan Family Chiropractic in the Cavalla Chiropractic family, Dr. Cavalla co-owned the Nystrom Chiropractic Group and Tam Chiropractic, serving as the primary provider to thousands of patients in northern California and beyond.
As a chiropractor and educator, Dr. Cavalla facilitates and values integrative healthcare and wellness solutions. Dr. Cavalla takes and reads digital X-Rays on-site, treats acute and chronic injuries, focuses on pain reduction, and specializes in trauma-informed care and sustainability.
She practices hands-on, full-spine chiropractic adjusting, soft tissue work, prevention, and education. She doesn’t believe or practice that “healing has to hurt”. Dr. Cavalla is well-known for, and and works tirelessly to ensure Cavalla Chiropractic patients receive the best, most individualized, appropriate care—and feel well-adjusted.
Dr. Cavalla prioritizes diversity, equity and inclusion, ensuring our offices are safe spaces where all people feel comfortable and welcome.
Prior to chiropractic, she dedicated her time to increasing sustainability and integrating mindfulness in healthcare, as well. Her experience as a microbiologist, certified herbalist, community clinic lab and operations technician, health educator, outreach worker, certified massage therapist, women’s health and sexual assault crisis counselor and advocate, meditation retreat center manager and co-founder of several community-service, agricultural and sustainable, permaculture-focused non-profit organizations, all greatly inform her current work with patients.
Dr. Cavalla is committed to service, and is passionate about volunteering with Integrative Healers Action Network (IHAN), providing chiropractic care to first responders and those impacted by climate disasters. She has traveled extensively and offered care to people in need in underserved communities across the globe.
Dr. Cavalla graduated from Life Chiropractic College West, magna cum laude with clinical honors, and prior to becoming a chiropractor, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, and minored in Women’s Health. She lives in Marin County and loves volunteering, traveling, hiking, cycling, gardening, reading, art, theatre, and spending as much time as possible with her partner Stephanie, son Isaiah, and their dog, Monte.
